This acrylic painting shows a beautiful white horse, running wild and free in the dream. Looking like an Arabian stallion with a very long mane and tail, running on a golden path with a magical blue background. The lovely white horse was inspired by Gandalf´s Shadowfax from the Lord of the Rings. Originally in books from Middle-earth by J. R. R. Tolkien. Later in Peter Jackson epic fantasy movies (The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, The Return of the King) shot in New Zealand and produced by New Line Cinema. The famous scene is where Gandalf is riding on Shadowfax, approaching the white city of Minas Tirith. The fairy beauty of the white horse is like from a dreamland, making a lovely fairytale image. The magical horse can also act as a spiritual guide, the symbol of light and freedom. Original acrylic painting was made in 2014 on stretched canvas with dimensions 40cm x 40cm (15.7 in x 15.7 in)
This original artwork is a great choice for animal lovers and fans of the Lo...
Hello, welcome to my gallery! I have a passion for acrylic painting and photography (also fantasy books and video games..) Working as a webmaster at the university, I like doing webdesign, coding, programming and analytics. I suspect the need for precision in these disciplines influences my paintings as well. I got my PhD in information and knowledge management and done research on design and user experience. Please let me know if you need another aspect ratio or coloring of my images, I can upload a special version for you.
