The original acrylic painting of Triceratops was made in 2010 on stretched canvas with dimensions 25cm x 30cm (9.8 in x 11.8 in), with acrylic paints, bright colors and textures. It depicts a prehistoric dinosaurus in a friendly playful way. Therefore this painting is a great choice for kids room or a nursery. This original artwork is also a great choice for animal lovers, especially primordial herbivorous mammals. The giant friendly dino is standing in the jungle, the tropical rainforest with green grass and blue sky above.

Hello, welcome to my gallery! I have a passion for acrylic painting and photography (also fantasy books and video games..) Working as a webmaster at the university, I like doing webdesign, coding, programming and analytics. I suspect the need for precision in these disciplines influences my paintings as well. I got my PhD in information and knowledge management and done research on design and user experience. Please let me know if you need another aspect ratio or coloring of my images, I can upload a special version for you.

Ahh, I didn't even think about modelling paste. Well it looks like the experiment was a success. The textures add a lot of dimension to the painting.
Aneta Soukalova
Thank you, Christopher! I was experimenting with acrylic modelling paste on the horns and I used a hard brush vertically to create the effect on the skin.

Wonderful work. You managed to make the 10-ton herbivore downright cute! I'd love to know how you achieved all of the great textures in this piece. Art sponge for the body and face? Heavy dry-brushing for the horns? Or did you pull a stylus through there as well?
